AJHS & CCJH FRP Students

Students from the Future Readiness Program at Cactus Canyon Junior High  and Apache Junction High School came together on Friday for a Thanksgiving celebration at the high school. This joint event fosters a sense of community among students at different educational levels within the Apache Junction School District. The gathering is part of a broader initiative to ease the transition for Canyon Junior High FRP students as they prepare to move on to Apache Junction High School.

Throughout the school year, these students participate in various shared activities and events, providing them with valuable exposure to the upper grades and helping alleviate any anxieties associated with the impending changes in their academic journey. The Thanksgiving celebration serves as a unique opportunity for the younger students to interact with their older counterparts, teachers, and experience the high school environment firsthand. This collaborative effort not only strengthens the bonds within the student body but also contributes to a smoother transition process. By familiarizing Cactus Canyon FRP students with the upper schools, showcasing classrooms, and introducing them to the high school atmosphere, this annual event plays a crucial role in building confidence and readiness for the next phase of their educational adventure. This thoughtful approach to school transitions reflects our district's commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students at every stage of their academic progression.
