Setting the Record Straight: New Drop-Off Procedure at AJHS

Apache Junction High School recently closed the north parking lot after consulting with the Apache Junction Police Department to enhance campus safety. This change aims to streamline the drop-off process and ensure a secure environment for all students.

New Drop-Off Instructions:

  1. Location: Students can be dropped off along the entrances on the west side of campus.
  2. Procedure:

  • Cars should use the lane closest to the school for drop-offs.

  • After dropping off students, cars should pull to the west to travel onward.

Efficiency: The drop-off line moves quickly when everyone follows this procedure. Wait times have averaged around 60 seconds, ensuring a smooth and swift process for everyone.

Support: The AJPD is on site to assist with this transition, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the new procedure.

Ongoing Monitoring: As with all campus procedures, we will continuously monitor and make adjustments as needed to maintain safety and efficiency.

Pick-Up Instructions: For pick-up after school, please follow all traffic rules for the area. Adhering to these rules helps ensure the safety of all students, staff, and visitors.
