AJUSD School Bond Update
Dear AJUSD Family-
Well, the results are in, and it looks like our bond measure didn’t pass. While this isn’t what we’d hoped for, I want you to know this: our mission hasn’t changed. At AJUSD, we put Kids First—always. A vote doesn’t define us, but how we move forward does, and we’ll continue showing up for our students and finding creative ways to meet their needs.
If there’s one thing I love about this community, it’s our resilience. We’ve weathered plenty of challenges together, and we’ve always found a way through. Whether it’s patching up leaky roofs or making every dollar stretch further, we’ll face these new hurdles with the same grit and determination. And we’ll do it with a little humor and a lot of heart because that’s who we are.
Despite the vote, there’s still so much to celebrate. Our students are succeeding—in the classroom, on the field, and in the arts—and we’re lucky to have an incredible team of teachers, staff, and families cheering them on every step of the way. You’re the real MVPs, and your support means the world.
To everyone who rallied for this bond: thank you. Your dedication shows what’s possible when a community comes together. And to those who had concerns: we hear you. We’ll keep working to earn your trust and prove why investing in our schools is investing in our kids.
This vote was a moment, but our mission is forever. Together, we’ll keep putting Kids First and building a future we can all be proud of.
